ABOUT RACHAEL SENCHOWAY

Rachael is a New-York based visual artist. She completed her studies in Fine Arts from Hunter College in 2011. Today her work has been shown in several exhibitions across the country.

For most humans there is a longing

for a more deeply felt sense of being alive.

I explore my own existence

by shapeshifting through the passageways

and portals of my brain.

In general my work is based on things that scare me.

Phenomena outside normal reality such as ghosts, aliens, levitation etc...

After layering hundreds of images from

the internet, film stills, old cartoons, and dreams,

I enter a "3rd space" where the painting seems to make itself.

The viewer and I are able to escape

into a virtual,  interdimensional world

where we can die and come back to life.
