Half gif, half fashion, half glitch! These are the photos of Alethia P! Alethia makes us do a double take on her edgy, modern work, that visibly portrays our digital obsessions. Born and raised in Bogotá, Colombia, Alethia completed her university studies in photography. She first started taking photos at the age of nine and became completely inseparable from her camera. Today she is pushing her creativity to to new limits, experimenting with all kinds of digital devices.

How did you decide to become a photographer?

I started studying Fashion Design in 2009 when I was 18, and while I was there I realized that my love for fashion was in the graphic and not the design area. I have been taking pictures my whole life but I never imagined that was what I wanted to be. It was only logical. The decision to stop studying fashion design and start studying photography was one of my best choices so far.

What inspires you?

Music, people and their stories. I try to use everything I love that surrounds me as an inspiration.

Tell us about your creative process?

It depends, sometimes I take really long time to think about an idea and how I'm going to make it happen and I plan everything really well, and sometimes it's just so spontaneous and it happens really fast. I enjoy both process because I can accomplish very different things from both, I feel like there are different versions of me and I want to reflect that on my work.

What do you seek to accomplish with your work? How are you doing this?

I want to make myself proud of what I do. I would like to have a creative studio where I could work with talented people and develop all my ideas. But first I want to work in magazines and editorial publications, keep learning and making my ideas and photographic style better and better.

If you could have a superpower what would it be and why?

I would like to be able to fly and control elements. Because just imagine the possibilities! all the things I could see If I could fly, I bet they would be out of my mind, and I like to imagine how my flying perspective would change my photographic style and how this would reflect in me and the things that I do.
